SIAMS
The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) is the Church of England and Methodist Church’s outworking of the requirements of section 48 of the Education Act 2005. It is a key element of the life of all Church of England and Methodist schools in England.
SIAMS Inspection July 2026 – 'A School Where Everyone Can Flourish'
We were delighted that our July 2026 SIAMS inspection recognised Bickerton Holy Trinity as a Church school that is living up to its foundation and enabling pupils and adults to flourish. The report celebrates how our Christian vision, ‘Life in All Its Fullness’, runs deeply through school life and shapes our curriculum, relationships and decisions. Inspectors highlighted our exciting and enriching curriculum, inclusive and inspiring Collective Worship, culture of dignity and respect, strong relationships and the many opportunities pupils have to use their voice and make a positive difference.
The report particularly recognises that our small-school community knows its families well and provides sensitive, individual support, helping pupils to feel “happy and secure” and able to embrace opportunities. It also celebrates the way pupils develop responsibility through roles such as worship leaders, values ambassadors, school councillors and happiness heroes, alongside taking action through fundraising, recycling, litter picking and other initiatives.

Our vision drives school life – inspectors found that our Christian vision and values run deeply throughout the school and influence decisions, policies and procedures.
An exciting and enriching curriculum – visits, carefully chosen texts and learning experiences help children understand the wider world and see themselves as part of a global community.
Collective Worship is highly valued – it was described as welcoming, inclusive, challenging and inspiring, providing important opportunities for reflection and peace.
A culture of dignity and respect – children learn to build positive relationships, resolve differences through discussion and understand forgiveness and reconciliation.
Pupils know their voice matters – children are encouraged to take responsibility, serve others and understand that they can make a positive difference.
A caring and supportive community – inspectors recognised that staff work as a supportive team and that our close relationships with families enable us to provide tailored support for children.
