Kestrels (year 6) 2024 - 2025

Welcome to Kestrels

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you all as we embark on an exciting new academic year in Year 6. My name is Mr Carlile, and I am thrilled to be joining Bickerton Holy Trinity as your child’s class teacher. Alongside teaching Year 6, I will also be taking on the roles of Deputy Head and SENCo, ensuring that the needs of all children are met across the school.
This term promises to be a busy and engaging one, and I am very much looking forward to getting to know your children and working together to help them achieve their full potential in their final year of primary school. We won’t mention SATS yet! 

Here is some information about your child’s teaching team and the essential things you need to know. This class page will contain lots of useful information and advice which will be updated each term.

PE Days
PE will take place every Monday and Thursday, so please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days. A quick reminder that for safety reasons, no jewellery should be worn during PE sessions. 

Homework
Your child will receive weekly homework that will help reinforce what we’ve been covering in class. Homework will be handed out on Fridays and is expected to be returned by the following Wednesday. Please encourage your child to complete it independently, although your support is always appreciated!

Hometime

General:

Over the year there will be lots of opportunities for your child to take part in different activities, clubs and competitions as well as opportunities to be leaders.
